Bulk editing, without Google Sheets: a spreadsheet of short links in Short.io saving row by row, with a progress bar

Short.io now has its own built-in bulk editor. No Google consent screen, and no access to your Drive at all.

Until now, bulk editing went through our Google Sheets integration. It’s useful, but it has a few hurdles:

  1. You need a Google account, which doesn’t always fit company policy or personal preference.
  2. When more than one person edits the same sheet, links can get overwritten.
  3. Because it lives in Google Sheets, the improvements we can make are limited.

Bulk Create & Edit v2 solves all three. It’s an additional spreadsheet editor inside your Short.io dashboard, and it’s now out of beta.

What’s better:

  1. No Google connection. Everything stays in Short.io.
  2. No overwritten links. Teammates can edit at the same time without wiping each other’s changes. Each row shows whether it saved, and you get a warning before leaving with unsaved changes.
  3. Easier for us to improve. Because it’s ours, we can build on v2 directly. First addition is a progress bar, with more improvements on the way.

Still rely on Sheets? The Google Sheets integration isn’t going anywhere. It stays available and supported, so use whichever fits your workflow.
